Priaulx won the world title in 2005, 2006 and 2007
Guernsey's three-time champion Andy Priaulx is still aiming to win the World Touring Car Championship.
Priaulx, who suffered setbacks in Brazil and France, is fourth going into round six in the Czech Republic, with leader Yvan Muller 22 points ahead.
He said: "If you look at those two races that would put me right back at the top of the table.
"There's a long way to go in the season - I'm not giving up - I'm really still focusing on winning the championship."
With BMW winning eight out of the last 10 of the races on the Brno track, Priaulx explained why the circuit was good for them: "The long flowing corners have been really good for the balance of our car.
"I feel it's possible to again come away with some big points."
In the past Priaulx has been critical of the FIA not acting to maintain an equal playing field for the teams but he praised recent changes made by motorsport's world governing body.
"Taking out the diesel and the petrol situation, it should be more levelling and that means we'll be able to have at least more of a chance to be at the front," he said.
"For me I think it's all about equalising petrol and diesel engines and maybe having just one series with one engine concept all the same and then it's just down to driving and that would be the best option."
