Tom Skillicorn storms to victory in Ballaspit downhill

Skillicorn is the reigning Isle of Man downhill champion

Tom Skillicorn flew to victory in round three of the Manx Mountain Bike Club's Downhill Championships at Ballaspit Farm on Sunday.

Skillicorn took advantage of the sunny conditions to post a winning time of one minute 52.946 seconds.

Gareth Faragher also broke two minutes, finishing just over four seconds behind Skillicorn to claim the Master's class.

Mark Turner was the quickest junior over the course with an impressive display and a time of 2:16:906.

Sam Corlett claimed second spot after a hugely impressive debut.

The fourth round of the series will be held at Brookdale on 20 June.
