Tom Skillicorn took Round 4 of the Manx Mountain Bike Club Downhill series held in Arrasey Plantation on Sunday. Skillicorn mastered the treacherous conditions to post a winning time of 2 minutes 05.048 seconds
Gareth Fargher produced another storming performance to finish second, seven seconds down on Skillicorn. Fargher said: "I'm happy with my time considering the conditions but Mark Turner is the star today."
Andrew Winstanley stopped the clock at 2:17.164 to ensure he took up the final position on the podium
Brian Ravenshear finished fourth in 2:17.779; Chris Sharpe was fifth in 2:20.922 and Russell Sansom completed the top six in 2:21.92
Richard Killip's time of 2:27.755 made him the 10th rider to break the 2:30 mark on the day
Twelve-year-old Mark Turner won the Junior National Championship in a time of 2:31.57. The junior event was held shortly before the senior race
Turner's time was so good, the youngster would have finished 11th in the senior event
Turner finished more than a minute ahead of second-placed Cai Illingworth, with Finn Cain third. The fifth and final round of the series will take place on 23 August
