Gareth Fargher wins Arrasey downhill

Fargher won by more than five seconds

Gareth Fargher cruised to victory in the second round of the Manx Mountain Bike Club's Downhill Championships at Arrasey Plantation on Saturday.

Fargher's time of one minute 52.968 seconds was more than five seconds faster than his nearest rival in the elite class.

Russell Sansom claimed second place with Lee Marshall snatching third.

Meanwhile, Lee Corlett claimed victory in the senior class after recording the second quickest time of the day.

Elsewhere, Matthew Clague won the Junior Class in a time of 2:21.503.
