Guernsey pair set new benchmark

McLaughlin teamed up with Arblaster to put in an impressive ride

James McLaughlin and Daniel Arblaster put aside a set-back on a climb to ride the fastest ever time by a Guernsey team in the Duo Normand race in France.

Six Guernsey teams entered the event, with the pair setting the fastest time outside the elite class of riders.

The feat was made even more remarkable as they had to stop on a climb when Arblaster was forced to re-adjust his rear wheel.

Overall Guernsey teams got three podium finishes in the race.
