Ukraine's Serhiy Honchar won a rainy 13th stage of the Giro D'Italia as his compatriot Yaroslav Popovych snatched the overall lead. De Nardi rider Honchar triumphed in the 52-kilometre time trial around Trieste, with Australia's Brad McGee 18 seconds back and Popovych 34 seconds adrift.
Popovych, of the Landbouwkrediet team, took the leader's jersey from Italy's Damiano Cunego, who finished 23rd.
Honchar is just three seconds behind and McGhee one minute two seconds down.
Two-time race winner Gilberto Simoni of Italy is fourth at 1:27 after a fall early in the stage.
