Alison Merrien needed a sudden death play-off to make the final

Guernsey's Alison Merrien won through to the final of the World Indoor Bowls Tour Championships.

The former World Champion beat England's Carol Ashby 9-4, 7-8, 2-0 in Tuesday's semi-final.

She'll face either England's Sarah Seymour or Debbie Stavrou in Wednesday's final.

Merrien beat reigning champion Ceri-Ann Davies in the quarter-finals on Monday but lost to Stavrou in the mixed pairs quarter-finals on Saturday.
