Jersey and Guernsey each won five events at the Channel Islands Indoor Bowls Championships at the weekend. Guernsey's former world champion Alison Merrien led the way, taking the singles as well as the triples and the fours while the Sarnian men's four also won. Jersey's Jamie MacDonald beat Neil Mollett to win the men's singles while Jersey also took the men's triples. Jersey won both pairs events and the Under-25's men's title while Guernsey's Over-60's four were victorious. All the winners will go on to represent the Channel Islands at the British Isles Indoor Bowls Championships in March.
