Flournoy saw his side record eight straight wins in February

Newcastle coach Fab Flournoy has been named British Basketball League coach of the month for February, after his side recorded eight straight wins.

After a difficult start to the campaign, Eagles are in the BBL Trophy semi-finals and second in the league, level on points with leaders Sheffield.

"It is a huge honour to have won the award, but it's not me that deserves praise," Flournoy said.

"It is the players that should get the praise for this award."
