Blyth Spartans have signed former Darlington captain Steve Foster following his release from the club.
The 35-year-old centre-back helped Doncaster achieve promotion in 2003 before moving to Scunthorpe and then onto the Quakers.
"I have been on the lookout for a defender of Foster's class for some time," Blyth boss Mick Tait told the official club website.
He is expected to go straight into the squad for Tuesday's game at Workington.
