Allister Gall will captain the Raiders during the 2009/10 season

The positive start to the season that Plymouth Raiders were hoping for has been dashed, after they suffered an away defeat in their opening game.

Despite adding six new faces to his squad during the summer, Gary Stronach's men were unable to match Worthing in what was a convincing win.

But Allister Gall did lead Raiders with a game-high of 25 points.

The defeat is doubling disappointing for Plymouth as they were undefeated in all three of their pre-season fixtures.
