Hamza Bencherif netted twice to give Macclesfield victory over Torquay.
Elliot Benyon put the visitors ahead with his 15-yard drive cannoning off defender Carl Tremarco to leave keeper Jon Brain stranded in the 51st minute.
But 10 minutes later Bencherif pounced on a rebound from Ben Wright's shot to fire into the roof of the net.
Bencherif then lashed a left-foot shot inside the near post, and he almost completed a hat-trick as the hosts finished strongly.
Torquay United manager Paul Buckle told BBC Radio Devon:
"All that's in the paper's tomorrow is that we've been beaten again and we're on a horrendous run of results.
"The performances are there but today I can't believe it - we're one-nil up, in total control and in a crazy five minute spell we found ourselves 2-1 down."
