 Le Moignan in action at the European Championship finals |
Jersey's Tony Le Moignan has won the 2010 European Croquet Championship after beating fellow Islander Gavin Carter in the final. Le Moignan overcame Carter by +22TP, +26TP and +26 TP in the match at Jersey Croquet Club. On his way to the final, Le Moignan recorded wins over France's Boris Dourthe, Luxembourg's John Davis and the Isle of Man's Kevin Garrad. Le Moignan last won the European Championship in 2006. Carter also beat some impressive names on his path to the final, recording wins over Scotland's Bill Spalding, number one seed Andrew Johnston and England's Robin Brown.
