Mr Falla said he was delighted with the investment |
Guernsey's Commonwealth Games hopefuls have been given a boost as local businesses have pledged £240,000 of support over the next five years. Eight businesses have given the funding for island athletes until the Glasgow Games in 2014. Stuart Falla, Treasurer of the Commonwealth Games Association, said he was delighted with the investment. He said: "It means we can wave Guernsey's flag very well and very professionally." Guernsey hopes to send about 40 athletes to the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
