Cyclist Josh Gosselin set a new personal best over 25 miles in Wales last weekend to move a step closer to qualifying for the Commonwealth Games. Gosselin was the fastest of the four Guernsey competitors who entered the time trial in Wales, finishing in 51.37 minutes, to place 32nd overall. Fellow Sarnians Neil Ridley, Alan Renyard and junior rider Alex Falla were also all in action. The minimum qualifying time for the Commonwealth Games is 52 minutes. Ridley also set a personal best, finishing the 25 mile course in 54.47 to place 78th. Falla, who rides for the LCF Development Squad, completed the course in a personal best of 55.09, whilst Renyard just failed to finish in under an hour, recording a time of 1.00.48.
