Guernsey have won three basketball Inter-insulars in a row

Guernsey's senior men clinched a narrow 67-65 victory over rivals Jersey in the basketball Inter-insular at Beau Sejour on Saturday.

Sarnian Captain Mark Barnett told BBC Guernsey: "It was a close game, which was not how we thought it was going to go but Jersey fought hard.

"We didn't play to the standard we can but we kept going and got the win."

It was a third victory in a row for the Green and Whites, following a 51-40 win in 2008 and a 64-51 triumph in 2007.
