The Guernsey & Jersey women's team lost to Scotland by just one frame

The Guernsey & Jersey Junior team were the only Channel Island side to chalk up a win on the first day of the European Pool Championships in Ireland.

Junior captain James Kirk sealed the win for his team in a tense final frame to win the match against the Irish hosts 8-7 on Monday.

The Guernsey & Jersey Men's team went down 10-5 to Scotland.

The Ladies bounced back from a 13-2 hammering from Ireland to narrowly lose 8-7 to Scotland.
