Fifteen Channel Island players will be heading to Dublin

Guernsey and Jersey's best pool players will be joining forces next week in the European Championships in Dublin.

In the 2008 tournament in Malta the men's and women's sides found it tough while the juniors just missed out on the final.

Chairman of the Channel Island 8 Ball Association, Trevor Kirk, told BBC Guernsey their best hopes again "lie with the Junior side".

They are captained by Guernsey's James Kirk, Europe's junior number six.
