Jersey's veterans have beaten Ipswich East Suffolk 4-0 to make it to the third round of the English Hockey Association Men's Veteran's Plate.

Snow meant the game had to be abandoned with 15 minutes to go with the island side comfortably in the lead at their 'home' pitch in East Grinstead.

Peter Taylor, Mark Bailey, Nick Taylor and debutant Ali Hall got the goals.

The island is through to the last 16 of the competition which is due to be played on Sunday, 22 February.
