Jersey Hockey Club's veterans were knocked out of the England Hockey vets plate when they lost 3-2 to Ben Rhydding in Sunday's semi-finals.

The club enjoyed its best ever performance in the plate after dropping out of the veterans cup in November.

Jersey progressed to the last eight after thrashing Oxford 10-1 and went on to beat Slough 5-0 and secure a semi-final berth.

Earlier in the competition Jersey had also beaten Eastcote and Colchester.
