Jersey had to fight back from 8-3 down in the final set against Wessex |
The Jersey men's volleyball team, HLB Jackson Fox, are through to the quarter-finals of Volleyball England's National Plate competition. Against Division 2 side Wessex, Jersey rallied from 8-3 down in the fifth set, to take the set and match. Team manager Steve Rowe conceded it had been a stressful match. "There were a few word said throughout the match, but in the end we won," he said. "It was a good performance, especially holding our nerve in the fifth set." Jersey will now host either Loughborough or Stowmarket in the quarter-final on Saturday 14 February.
