Golder and brakeman Crowell are aiming for a top-half finish
Jersey bobsleigh duo of Will Golder and Kevan Crowell are looking to make the most of their opportunity in the final two rounds of the FIBT Europa Cup.
The Europa Cup is the initial step on to the international circuit and should attract up to 50 two-man crews.
Although in their first international event, the Jersey pair are aiming to come in the top half in St Moritz.
Will Golder told BBC Radio Jersey: "While it is more of an experience run, the aim is to finish about 30th."
The St. Moritz course was the world's first bobsled track and is the only natural track in the world.
A wary Golder added: "I'll have to learn every inch and every split second of the track.
"And my reaction times are going to have to be right up there as soon as we start, especially at St Moritz."
The event starts on 19 January with three days of training runs. The main competition begins on 22 January.
Following the St Moritz event, the pair will then go on to compete at the final round of the Europa Cup in Cesana Italy.
The goal there is another top 30 place and qualification for the Junior World Championships.
