Duke leads the way at London Open

Jersey table tennis player Josh Band at the Essex Four-Star tournament
Fourteen-year-old Band (R) made the final eight in both top bands

Four young Jersey table tennis players enjoyed a great learning experience at the Butterfly London Open Grand Prix.

Nicola Duke reached the semi-final in her band while Josh Band made the quarter-finals in both band five and six, narrowly missing the semi-finals.

Craig Gascoyne and Luke Walker also had wins against top-ranked senior players.

President of the Jersey Table Tennis Association Chris Band said: "All four players played out of their skins this weekend. Absolutely fantastic."
