Wolves boss Peter Adams rues Freddie Lindgren's off-day
Ty Proctor was Wolves' only bright spot at Peterboroigh
Wolverhampton suffered a heavy 57-35 defeat at Peterborough in the Elite League as star rider Freddie Lindgren had his poorest night of the season.
The Grand Prix star mustered only three points from his four rides as Wolves failed to challenge the Panthers.
"To start with, two last places in unheard of for Freddie," said Wolves team manager Peter Adams.
"It was a bad night for him and I don't think any of them covered themselves in glory," he told BBC WM.
"The plus point is we've lost a match we didn't expect to win, we turned in a pretty poor performance," he added.

"But we've got other matches coming up on the radar which we intend to and expect to win."
Wolves stayed reasonably close through eight heats, trailing 28-20, before the Panthers pulled away to extend their 13-month unbeaten home run.
Only Ty Proctor reached double figures for the visitors, rewarded for his efforts by getting the nod to ride instead of Lindgren in heat 15.
"He rode his socks off, he puts his heart and soul into every meeting he competes in," Adams noted.
"He just had a very good set-up here today, he was competing with the Peterborough riders - but most of the others weren't."
Wolves have now lost heavily twice at the East of England Showground this season and the major concern is that the two teams could yet go head-to-head over two legs in the Elite League play-offs.
"Peterborough never travel well to Wolverhampton, so I think if we do manage to lock horns with them in the play-offs you'd see two large wins and a close finish," Adams suggested.
