Midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu signs new West Brom deal
Mulumbu played for France Under-20s and 21s before making his DRC debut
West Brom midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu has signed a new two-year contract with the Premier League newcomers.
The 23-year-old Democratic Republic of Congo international moved to The Hawthorns initially on loan from Paris St Germain two seasons ago.
The Baggies paid £175,000 to make the move permanent in July 2009.
"I'm delighted that another of our talented young players has committed his long-term future to the club," said West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo.
"Youssouf was one of about five players who played in the majority of our games last season and he played a major role in our success.
"The great thing about him is that he's a very humble guy who wants to learn. He's also going to get better and better because he is still young."
Mulumbu impressed in the Championship last term, making 46 appearances and scoring three goals as West Brom secured automatic promotion to the Premier League.
