West Brom have rewarded midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu with a new two-year contract following his strong start to the Championship season.
The club also retain the option to take up a third year on the deal.
Mulumbu, 22, joined the Baggies on a permanent deal from Paris Saint Germain this summer after a loan spell.
"I'm pleased with how Youssouf has started the season, and he is very much part of our plans," said Baggies boss Roberto di Matteo.
"He's an exciting, young, holding midfielder who will hopefully keep improving."
Mulumbu scored his first Albion goal in the 2-0 home win over Ipswich, and has become a huge fans' favourite at the Hawthorns.
