Trevor Geer says Eastbourne Eagles are hitting form
Eastbourne Eagles riders have improved in their recent Elite League meetings, according to co-promoter Trevor Geer.
The Eagles host Peterborough Panthers on Wednesday before an away tie against Swindon Robins on Thursday.
Geer told BBC Sussex: "Most of our riders are coming into a rich vein of form. I'm looking for some fireworks and a good meeting.
"I'm really pleased with the guys. A few of them struggled to start with, especially Simon Gustafsson."
Geer added: "But at Wolverhampton last Monday he was flying around there. I'm expecting big things from him this year."
Eastbourne picked up their first win of the season last Saturday, beating Coventry 50-40 and then secured an away point in their 46-44 defeat to Wolverhampton.
Wednesday's meeting with Peterborough marks a return to the Arlington Stadium for Lewis Bridger who spent three years riding for the Eagles.
Geer said: "No-one knows their way around Eastbourne as well as Lewis. He had a good meeting in Poland last Sunday and he'll try to bring that to Eastbourne.
"But we'll be looking at 100 per cent from all our boys to get one over on Peterborough."
