Eastbourne Eagles co-promoter Mike Bellerby says he is looking to pick up their first Elite League victory of the season at the weekend.

The Eagles welcome the Ipswich Witches to the Arlington Stadium on Saturday.

Bellerby told BBC Sussex: "It's one we must win. It's very important we collect our first three points.

"Now we've got a couple of meetings under our belts at Arlington we're really looking to get in with a strong performance against Ipswich."

He added: "I'm absolutely confident that the potential is still there to have a very good season and reach the play-offs."

Eastbourne will be without number one rider Matej Zagar for the meeting as he competes in the Slovenia national championship.

They have signed Poole Pirates' Australian rider Chris Holder as a guest replacement for the Slovenian.

Bellerby said: "Chris is the joint track record holder at the Arlington so I'm sure he'll do the business for us."

The Eagles picked up their first point of the season when they drew 45-45 with the Lakeside Hammers on Good Friday.
