Zagar will be Eastbourne's top rider after a successful 2009 at Swindon |
Eastbourne Eagles have signed two more riders to bring their line up for the 2010 season to near completion. The south coast club announced on Thursday that Ricky Kling and Finnish rider Joonas Kylmakorpi from Lakeside Hammers will ride for them next term. Kling signs a new deal while Kylmakorpi has guested in the last few years. Matej Zagar and Lukas Dryml joined the Eagles earlier this week; Zagar will be their number one after turning down a new deal at the Swindon Robins. The Robins were unable to fit both Zagar and captain Leigh Adams into their roster for the 2010 campaign due to their high averages. Previously Swindon had said they would only let Zagar go if they were sure Adams would stay at Blunsdon. Zagar came to Swindon last May, replacing the injured Troy Batchelor. Eastbourne Eagles boss Trevor Geer said: "We are absolutely delighted to have Matej in the team. "We want a group of seven riders who can all improve and he fits the bill for us - he's a very exciting signing. "We've lacked a good number one for a number of years really, and he fits the bill."
