Zagar has dropped just eight points in his 18 races since signing for Swindon |
Swindon rider Matej Zagar has a chance to stay on the Robins roster even when Troy Batchelor is fit to return, says the team's co-promoter Gary Patchett. The Slovenian star was brought in when Batchelor broke his wrist, and has been in impressive form ever since. Patchett told BBC Wiltshire that Zagar's future is in his own hands. "Matej wants to be here for longer than the six to eight weeks we agreed, so he's got to put us in a position where it's difficult to leave him out." He added: "Troy's not fit to come back yet and it'll be a difficult decision to make, but we'll make it at the right time."
