Swindon Town boss Danny Wilson has reacted angrily to the late postponement of their game at Stockport County due to a waterlogged pitch.
The pitch was given the all-clear in the morning by Stockport officials but when the referee arrived at 1800 GMT he called off the match immediately.
"The referee should have been called in this morning if there was any doubt," Wilson told BBC Wiltshire.
"And not just somebody looking at the pitch thinking it'll be alright."
Wilson continued: "He should have been fully aware of what was possibly a game-threatening postponement.
"But he wasn't until he came in tonight and I feel for him as there's only decision he could possibly make.
"You can't expect players to go and perform on this type of pitch, it's impossible.
"This would have been called off three days ago if it had been a Premier League game."
It is the third consecutive game that has been postponed at Edgeley Park in five days due to the condition of the pitch.

On Friday night Wasps refused to play their rugby match against Sale and Stockport's FA Cup match against Torquay on Saturday was also called off.
"We shouldn't have been allowed to travel and whoever has made the decision has got it completely wrong," said Wilson.
"The frustrating part is the fans have travelled up the motorway, there's families travelling up the motorway.
"This all could have been avoided and a lot of money saved."
Swindon Town have confirmed that they will be seeking compensation for travel expenses from Stockport County.
