Phil Morris marked his return from injury by scoring 10 points |
Stoke Potters have been are out of the Knockout Cup after losing to Berwick 92-87 on aggregate. The Potters won 48-42 at Loomer Road on Saturday, but defeat in Scotland on Wednesday was to prove costly. Stoke were boosted by the return of Phil Morris, who had missed the previous meeting between the two teams because of injury. He scored 10 points, but it was not enough for Stoke, who crashed out of the tournament at the first hurdle. Morris said: "I'm pleased I've got back into the points, but desperately disappointed that we fell short in the end and not gone through into the second round." Stoke are back in action again on Wednesday, 13 May when they take on Birmingham in a rearranged match in the Premier Trophy. The original meeting, due for 10 April, was postponed because of a waterlogged track.
