Jason Bunyan continued his good form with 15 points against Workington |
In-form Jason Bunyan inspired an under-strength Stoke Potters side to a win over Workington in their first Premier League meeting of the 2009 season. Bunyan scored 15 points to help Stoke to a 48-42 victory at Loomer Road. The Potters were without the suspended Glen Phillips, and also Klaus Jakobsen, who was riding in the national championships in his native Denmark. They also had to cope with the loss of Phil Morris, who fell awkwardly in the third heat and was taken to hospital. Workington will also be Stoke's opponents in their second Premier League match - the two teams meet again on Monday (4 May).
