Morris suffered concussion in the defeat at Somerset on Friday |
Stoke Potters beat Scunthorpe 54-41 at Loomer Road on Saturday to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the final stages of the Premier Trophy. The Potters lost 48-42 at Somerset on Friday and knew they needed a win on their own track to stand any chance. Redcar's Robbie Kessler scored eight points as a stand-in for Phil Morris, who was suffering from concussion. Stoke's last three fixtures in the Premier Trophy are against King's Lynn, Birmingham and Newport. Stoke promoter Dave Tattum said: "The win has given us an outside chance of reaching the semi-finals, and all we can keep doing is plugging away and working hard."
