Promoter Dave Tattum is in his 14th season with the Stoke Potters
Stoke Potters promoter Dave Tattum has been encouraged by his team's start to the new season.
The Potters have won one and lost one of their opening two matches in the Premier Trophy, and take on Somerset at Loomer Road on Saturday.
Tattum told BBC Radio Stoke: "Our form has been good, we've had a lot worse.
"We had a little bit of a blip at Scunthorpe, but we've been able to regroup and I'm sure we'll learn from our mistakes."
Tattum has also been impressed with the impact that new riders Jason Bunyan and Phil Morris have made at the club.
He added: "I've had my eye on them for a few seasons and I'm good friends with both of them. To bring them both in was like a dream for me.
"They're both very good guys to have around. As many points on the track that they score, they're worth more in the pits and talking with the rest of the team."
