The 2009 season will be Chris Harris' sixth at Brandon

Coventry Bees captain Chris Harris is looking forward to the new speedway season, which gets underway on Monday.

Coventry take on Wolverhampton at Monmore Green in the first leg of a Midland Challenge clash.

Harris told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "It's a nice way to start the season off, with a local derby."

"It will give the boys a challenge. They can try some things out but obviously we will want to go there and win as well."

Bees will hand debuts to Edward Kennett, Jordan Frampton and Joel Parsons with Rory Schlein marking his return to the team.

The return fixture is at Brandon on Friday.

Bees face Peterborough twice in the Knockout Cup the following week before beginning their Elite League campaign away to Ipswich next month.
