Adam Scornicki's return to Monmore has delighted Wolves fans

Wolverhampton look to put memories of last season behind them when they host the Coventry Bees in a challenge match at Monmore Green on Monday night.

Wolves had to survive a relegation play-off to stay in the Elite League and have now overhauled their team.

"It's a new season with fresh opportunities to get our teeth into," said Wolves boss Peter Adams.

Club legend Peter Karlsson returns to Wolves for 2009, as does Polish Grand Prix star Adam Scornicki.

Monmore regulars are also looking forward to seeing much-vaunted English teenager Tai Woffinden taking up his place in the line-up.

Winter signing Edward Kennett makes his debut for the Bees, who also include Grand Prix rider Chris Harris and Australian star Rory Schlein.

The second leg of the challenge meeting will be staged at Coventry's Brandon track on Friday.
