Freddie Lindgren has been lured back by a stronger-looking Wolves line-up |
Swedish Grand Prix star Freddie Lindgren has agreed terms to ride for Wolverhampton again in 2009. The 23-year-old will pass the captaincy on to returning veteran Peter Karlsson after talks with the club's owner Chris van Straaten. "All along Freddie stated he'd like to return, but he wanted to see what our team plans were," said van Straaten. "He wants to be part of a successful side, and the conversation I had with him on Sunday was very uplifting." Lindgren will have a very busy summer with his Wolves and Grand Prix commitments adding to league meetings in Poland and Sweden. But van Straaten is not concerned about that workload. "He's very enthusiastic and very excited about the new season and we're delighted to have him back on board," added van Straaten. Wolves now have only one place left in their line-up for the new Elite League season.
