Lindgren brothers make 2009 plans

Wolverhampton speedway boss Chris van Straaten is hoping to secure the signing of Freddie Lindgren for the 2009 season as soon as possible.

The Swedish rider is expected to continue at Monmore Green, while his little brother Ludvig has already signed for near neighbours Birmingham.

"Freddie's been enjoying a well deserved break in Thailand," said club promoter van Straaten.

"We have communicated by e-mail and hopefully we can sort things out soon."

Ludvig Lindgren raced a handful of meetings for Wolves last season, and the 18-year old is looking forward to riding in the Premier League with the Birmingham Brummies.

"I want to become as good as my brother - my aim is to get into the Grand Prix and then beat him," Ludvig said.

"My move to Birmingham is good for me at this stage."
