Freddie Lindgren hopes to put Wolves' league struggles behind him |
Freddie Lindgren will try to make it a personal hat-trick at the Olympique handicap event on Monday evening. The Wolves skipper starts as favourite on his home track as he takes a break from the club's relegation battle. Young Wolves assets Tai Woffinden and Joe Haines are included in the field as they try to make an impact at Monmore. Danish teenager Peter Kildemand and Sweden's Christian Isometta make their British debuts in the hope of catching the eye of an Elite League club. Also named in the field is Coventry's Californian rider Billy Janniro, former Wolves star Adam Scornicki and Birmingham skipper Jason Lyons. Wolves promoter Chris van Straaten has added Eastbourne's Lewis Bridger to the meeting before he takes the rides of the injured Morten Risager in next week's relegation play-off against Edinburgh. "This meeting always serves up great entertainment and gives us an opportunity to look at riders for the future at the same time," said van Straaten. "I spoke to Freddie Lindgren on Sunday morning and he's desperate to win the meeting. "As a club, we know we have serious worries about fighting relegation. But this is a chance to forget about it for the night and just enjoy a cracking meeting."
