Wolves retained the Midland Shield with a 96-86 aggregate win over Birmingham Brummies following Wednesday's second leg at Perry Barr. Wolves took the meeting 48-42 with skipper Freddie Lindgren top-scoring with 12 points. The Brummies pushed their Elite League opponents all the way and were only two points behind at the half-way stage. The last five heats were shared with Tomasz Piszcz scoring 12 points and Brummies captain Jason Lyons 10.
