Brummies sign teenager Lindgren

Birmingham Brummies

Birmingham Brummies have signed teenage rider Ludvig Lindgren.

Lindgren, the younger brother of Swedish Grand Prix star Freddie, had a brief spell with Elite League side Wolves at the end of last season.

The 18-year-old will become a Birmingham asset after 12 official fixtures and Brummies boss Graham Drury is excited by his potential.

He said: "His brother is a world class Grand Prix rider already and I know Ludvig has the ambition to match that."

Drury added: "We're delighted to have him on board at Birmingham and the fact that he will become an asset of the club is a real bonus for us.

"I feel Ludvig gives us a solid top five. To have him alongside Jason Lyons, Tomasz Piszcz, Richard Sweetman and Robert Ksiezak means we look quite strong in most parts of the team.

"And with the new league structure, in terms of points for keeping meetings close, that will work to our benefit."
