Croatian Pavlic was wanted by a range of Elite League clubs |
New Swindon Robins signing Jurica Pavlic hopes his performances will earn him a longer stay in Wiltshire. Pavlic, 19, collected 12 points on his debut at Wolverhampton on Monday and told BBC Radio Swindon he is hoping to be at the Abbey Stadium next year. "I showed I can win, I'm really happy. For me [Wolverhampton is] a difficult track because it's small and tactical. "If I [am] good this season, for sure next season I will be there for Swindon," he said. Pavlic explained that Leigh Adams, with whom he rides for Polish side Leszno, played an important part in his move to Wiltshire. "Leigh's a really good man and a good friend and he [taught] me everything that he knows. Team Swindon: I think it's the best." The Croatian looks set to make his home debut against Poole on Thursday.
