Iversen's form has been one of few high points for Wolves
Wolverhampton needed last-heat heroics from Niels Kristian Iversen and Freddie Lindgren to edge out Swindon 47-46 in their Elite League fixture at Monmore.
The duo claimed second and third place in heat 15 to secure the narrowest possible victory over the Robins.
Swindon's Leigh Adams had set up the tight finish by winning the previous heat off a handicapped start, closing Wolves' lead to a single point.
But Iversen and Lindgren held off Mads Korneliussen in the final race.
Adams top scored on the night with 19 points for the Robins, his new team-mate Jurica Pavlic adding 11.
Iversen was the mainstay of Wolves' victory with 13 points, Lindgren contributing 10.
Jesper B Monberg had a modest night on his return to the Monmore line-up, notching only three points from his rides.
The Dane did break his duck in style though, surging from fourth to second in a spectacular performance in heat nine.
Robins team manager Alun Rossiter told BBC Radio Swindon it was a night of contrasting emotions.
"It's frustrating but you've got to be positive and move on now to get our heads focused on Poole."
The result leaves Swindon third in the league with meetings against the top two to come this week.
They will host Poole at the Abbey Stadium on Thursday before travelling to leaders Lakeside on Friday.
