Lowes took five BSB Evo class wins in six races with WFR Honda

Lincoln's Alex Lowes is to remain with the MSS Colchester Kawasaki team for the remainder of the British Superbike Championship season.

Lowes, 20, was initially drafted in to deputise for the injured Stuart Easton, having begun the season with WFR Honda.

He qualified on pole position on his debut for Kawasaki at Thruxton.

Lowes said: "I'm here due to someone else's misfortune so I can't lose sight of that but I hope I can do the team proud from here on in."

He added: "My aim has got to be to try and get in the top six and I feel privileged to be in one of the best teams in the paddock."

Easton suffered serious injuries in a crash during practice for the North West 200 road races in Northern Ireland in May.
