Lincolnshire rider Guy Martin won an epic Southern 100 Solo Championship on Thursday with less than a second separating the top four riders. The Solo Race saw yet another battle from start to finish between Martin, Ryan Farquhar, Manxman Conor Cummins and Michael Dunlop. Martin crossed the line just 0.163 seconds ahead of Farquhar who himself won four races during the event. All four set laps of over 112 mph around the 4.25 mile Billown Circuit. Meanwhile, father and son crew Ian and Carl Bell claimed the Sidecar title. In a action packed day there were also wins for Blackpool's Roy Richardson, Ulsterman Ryan Farquhar and a double for William Dunlop. Dave Madsen-Mygdal, Jamie O'Brien, Dennis Booth and Steven McIlvenna and sidecar duo Glyn Jones and Jason Slous, all recorded victories.
