Ryan Farquhar added two more Southern 100 wins to his 2009 tally on Wednesday with victories in both the 1000cc and 600cc races. The Northern Irish rider now has three wins following Tuesday's triumph. Wednesday's opener was another three way battle between Farquhar, Guy Martin and local rider Conor Cummins with less than a second separating the trio. During the race, Manxman Cummins set an absolute lap record around the 4.25 mile Billown Course of two minutes 16.382 seconds. Farquhar also won the 600cc race with Michael Dunlop second and Welshman Ian Lougher third. Meanwhile, William Dunlop set a new track record on his way to victory in the 2500cc race with Lougher second local rider Chris Palmer third. Steven Coombes and Paul Knapton won the sidecar race on the 600 Ireson Honda.
