 Eugene Laverty picked up six points in the 250cc series |
Eugene Laverty came home 21st of 24 finishers in Sunday's 250cc Valencia Grand Prix, the season's final race. The LCR Honda rider from Toomebridge had qualified in 25th position for the race and finished 25th in the overall championship standings with six points.
Sunday's race was won by Mika Kallio from Finland on a KTM with Alex de Angelis second and Alex Debon third.
Italian Andrea Dovizioso was fourth on a Honda with world champion Jorge Lorenzo back in seventh.
Laverty's best finishes during the season were 14th places in the Spanish and Portuguese rounds.
