 Eugene Laverty has picked up six points in the 250cc series |
Toomebridge rider Eugene Laverty finished 17th in Sunday's Malaysian 250cc Grand Prix. Laverty, who had qualified 20th for the penultimate race of the season, finished 44.02 seconds behind race winner Japan's Hiroshi Aoyama.
Spain's Jorge Lorenzo retained the title after taking third behind Aoyama and another Spaniard Hector Barbera.
LCR Honda rider Laverty has claimed six world championships points this season and he is 25th in the standings.
