Eugene Laverty was 15th at San Marino on a LCR Honda

The LCR Honda rider from Toomebridge, who is in his first season at grand prix level, has taken his points tally for the series to four.

The race was won by championship leader Jorge Lorenzo on an Aprilia with Japan's Hirishi Aoyama second and Hector Barbera of Spain in third.

The next race is the Potuguese Grand Prix at Estoril in a fortnight.
